“Work on the eastern tip of Madison’s “Triangle” has been completed, but a much more ambitious redevelopment of the bulk of the expansive Downtown neighborhood overlooking Monona Bay is about to get underway.”

This year’s conference theme was “How Housing Happens,” covering topics such as financing structures, community engagement strategies and policy updates related to housing development. Our own Anne Neujahr Morrison participated in a panel discussion on bond financing in multifamily housing.

Members of the Park Badger Redevelopment Team, including The Alexander Company, Captains Inc. and New Year Investments, came together at the groundbreaking ceremony for The Center for Black Excellence and Culture.

Congratulations to Simple Cuts Plus and Smiling Coast Braiding on the ribbon cutting for your new spaces. We are so lucky to have you as part of our Ella and Madison community!

In a public, competitive proposal process, the City has selected a local team of professionals to engage the community, create a shared master plan, and embark on this redevelopment. The ultimate goal is to redevelop this block with a community focus while maintaining affordability.
